Well, the sound is exactly the same, mainly because it actually is a PPG wave 2.3.

But reliability issues related to the Legacy design had to be addressed.

All improvements were made to promote longevity and reliability of the unit.

The unit is actually covered by an unprecedented warranty that every owner will appreciate.

Is this thing really 99.99% manufactured with ‘old-school’ THT (Through Hole Technology)?

Yes.

Since some of these THT components have not been in production for over 35 years, I have to assume there was an enormous amount of dedication that was required to source all of the components and also make sure they perform reliably?

Yes, very resource consuming.

Those are certainly some cool pictures. So this unit is truly, in both sound and functionality, the same as a Legacy PPG wave 2.3?

If that is the case, are you telling me that I can connect this machine to a Legacy PPG WAVETERM B and it will work as well as a Legacy PPG wave 2.3 would? If so, that is pretty impressive.

Can you really install Legacy PPG wave 2.3 (PCB) circuit boards in this rack and it still works? Wait, come to think about it, are you telling me that you can run these Anniversary Edition circuit boards in a Legacy PPG wave 2.3 / EVU housing too? That is so cool! How about this, can I mix and match between Legacy and these Anniversary Edition circuit board in the same unit?!

Got it. About the voice boards, what if you are totally bananas (bonkers) and really, really gonna (despite better judgment) insist on using CEM3360 and SSM2044 on them, instead of the AS3360 and SSI2144. If so, is that easy to install?

How many units will be built?

An exact number is currently not available. But they are gonna be rare by any metric.

Hmm, that is kind if vague… So for context, there are some pretty rare synths in world with very low production numbers like: PPG wave 2, PPG wave 2.2, PPG wave 2.3, Waldorf Wave, RSF Kobol, Yamaha CS-80, Yamaha DX1, EMS VCS3, EMS AKS...

OK! The production number is definitely going to be less than a third of the rarest synth on that list. How do you like them apples?

Are you guys bothered at all that some people online might think this project is totally 'off the charts insane' and that there are always some people (online) that will most likely exclaim that it is just 'way too expensive'?
